Basic fundementals to developing a creative mind.

Basic sketching and hardlinging development such as still life sketches and self portraits as well as some abstract collaborations.

*Graphic Arts 1 & 2

Simple web design, buisness card, bumper stickers, and notepad design. Use of printing press, photo lab & dark room, drawing boards, as well as cutting machines.

*Black & White Photography 1 & 2

Use of dark room and photography lab, chem labs, 35 mm developing process, Ilford Multigrade IV RC Resin Coated Variable Contrast paper (Glossy & Pearl), Industrial Enlargers.

*Painting 1 & 2

Acrylic Paints, brush strokes, color mixing and development. Art through music and emotion.

* Video Tech, Audio and Visual 1 & 2

Film apperication and development. Hands on filming and editing with specific machines and effects. RCA VHS camcorder related programs converted to Digital with use of Pinacle and Video Vagas video editing software.

UIC Spiral Workshop (Art for Youth) 2004/2005:

 

*Spiral Art Workshop- Taught by UIC Students to Highschool students with Art interests. Multi-media useage such as Arcylic Paints, Tempra Paint and Found Objects. Class closed with a Gallery Art show. Students participated in the instalation and breakdown process.

*Fashion Design 1 & 2-

Use of sewing machines and tools to design and create fashion designs.

*Fashion Sketching 1 & 2-

Drawing figures as a sketch pad design in a fashion portfolio.

Develop color knowlegde of the color wheel and use of color patterns.

Morton College (Cicero IL) 2006/2012:

​

*2D Fundamentals-

Problem solving through visual thinking and visual interpretation is the main concentration of this course. Drawing fundamentals, including line, value, and space are explored. Students will investigate the concepts of landscapes, still-life's, portraits, and much more. Exploration of art history and contemporary developments in painting techniques, processes and concepts.  Projects will focus on developing individual drawing and painting skills. Students will use shading tools, watercolor, charcoal, oil pastels, acrylics, ect.

*3D Fundamentals-

The program concentrates on the basics of modelling, texturing, lighting and rendering by way of practical hands on experience, supported by a number of short presentations.

​

*Art Appreciation-

Appreciation of viewing art through creative influence, honest opinion and critic.

​

*Basic Drawing-

Introduction to drawing papers and tools such as Oil Pastels, Chalk Pastels, Charcoal, ect.

​

*Advanced Drawing-

​

*Painting 1 & 2-

Painting on large hand pulled canvases with media such as Acrylic and Oil paints.

*Figure Drawing-

Drawing with use of nude models, getting to know the human body through creative visual views such as drawing only bones and muscels.

​

*Art History I, II & III-

The study of human expression – visual, but also tactile, spatial and sometimes aural through history.

​

*Photography 1 & 2-

Use of dark room and photography lab, chem labs, 35 mm developing process, Ilford Multigrade IV RC Resin Coated Variable Contrast paper (Glossy & Pearl), Industrial Enlargers. With enhanced features and color pigmenttations.

*Sculpture-

Material exploration, tool familiarity, ceramics, molds and casts, figure modeling, woodcarving, stone carving, metals and welding.
